Nesco American Harvest JS-4000TW Jet Stream Oven

Nesco American Harvest JS-4000TW Jet Stream Oven Pro’s and Con’s – roxy – FL United States
The motor of my 3rd jet stream oven just died. I’d say that they last about 3 years.
Pros: Great for heating up pizza and frozen items like egg rolls. Great for fish and meat. Very easy and fun to use.
Cons: Not made to last. Too many parts (lid, rack, inside pan, pan holder) to clean after each use. I confess that I often did not wash it if it wasn’t too messed up. Replacement lid very expensive. If you don’t get the knack of attaching the lid, it will break very quickly. Unlike microwave ovens, the price of these gadgets do not seem to decrease over time.

I will remember it fondly, but I am not getting another one.

This jet stream oven is great! I’ve worn mine completely out and need to buy a new one! I won’t go with anything else. It took a little getting used to in the beginning on really believing it could cook so fast but once I relaxed it was great! Stuffed porkchops is one of my favorites in it. My kids like chicken parmesan. I have even baked cookies in a pinch but actually prefer the regular oven for cookies. Every thing else is great!

Nesco: JS-4000TW Nesco American Harvest Jet Stream oven cooks oven quality food, microwave fast. Patented Cycolonic Cooking cooks up to 3 times faster than conventional oven and 2 times faster than convection ovens. Cooks most foods as fast as a microwave but with superior taste, texture and appearance. Unlike a microwave oven, the Jet Stream Oven produces fluffy baked goods adn browned tender meats. This multi function unit fries, broils, bakes, steams, roasts and grills. Easy to clean and dishwasher safe except the powerhead. An energy efficient oven which will save money on electrical bills. Breville 800ESXL Commercial 15-Bar Triple-Priming Die-Cast Espresso Machine

Breville 800ESXL Commercial 15-Bar Triple-Priming Die-Cast Espresso Machine lights are on, but no one’s home – A. Felix – Denver, Colorado
Beautiful machine, heavy, seems like it would be durable. Makes a nice espresso with everything you’d expect. At least, WHEN THE MACHINE WORKS. I’m on my third machine. First one, heater quit working after 9 months. Second one (their replacement), heater quit working after only 3 months. They replaced the third one with an upgrade to the BES 820XL model (programmable). It never worked – broken pump out of the box. Past 90 days with Amazon, so can’t get $ back there and MAKE NOTE: If you don’t purchase the machine directly from Breville, they can’t give you your money back, only an endless game of ‘replace the machine’. Hey, it keeps UPS in business at least. I know people who love their machine…lucky them, it’s still working.
Espresso Dream – NYC_Mike – NYC
We previously owned a Breville espresso machine and were always been impressed with the overall build quality and excellent espressos made, hence we decide to buy this one as a second machine.

This machine is very easy to use and will have someone with limited or no experience frothing milk and making impressive creme in no time. The build quality is excellent. The machine heats up quickly and there is almost no downtime when switching between the milk froth and espresso functions.

My only criticism is that the water tank is initially awkward to remove and refill, but after a few time it becomes relatively easy and you will be grateful for the huge water capacity especialy when entertaining a large group of friends and having to make 10 espressos!

I would definitely recommend this product for both the “experienced” and “new” espresso fan.
a Workhorse – Errin –
We’ve had our Breville machine for over 4 years and it’s still going strong – which is saying something because we’ve been known to use it 3 – 7 times a day for multiple espressos, tea, and just steaming milk. We love this machine. It works really well, really consistently, even though we honestly don’t take very good care of it. It’s easy to use, easy to clean, and easy to fill (and wash out)the water tank (especially important if you have gnarly hard water like ours). It’s really good looking out on the counter too and doesn’t really take up much space – after all, it stores all of it’s own parts (there’s a handy tray under/behind the water reservoir that holds the other size of filter, cleaning needle for the steam wand, etc.). The steamer works great and does an excellent job even on soy milk (which is all we use). We have made our money back on this machine many times over. I would highly recommend it to anyone who drinks a lot of espresso and wants to start making it at home. It may have cost as much as my first car, but it runs a lot more dependably!
So not being an ‘expert’ on machines I went to an Italian friend who is asked him his advice and told him what I was willing to spend. He picked this out of a list of machines I considered and am I ever happy I followed his advice. I’ve had my Breville for a year and a half now and it’s still going strong with daily use … one other thing if you follow the directions on cleaning and maintenance you’ll have no problem. I read a complaint about a ’soupy’ residual of coffee vs a ‘dry’ puck and have to assume this person is either not tamping or getting a bum grind to use … yes there is dampness but didn’t you just run a bunch of water through it? yet when I empty the filter my coffee comes out in a solid puck and it produces a lovely crema (have tested repeatedly in a clear espresso shot glass).

One other thing I would like to mention. I bought mine through an online retailer who had a ‘great deal’ and assured me it was ‘New’. When it arrived the box was clearly stamped as ‘Refurbished’ and of course the retailer was non-responsive. On top of which it didn’t work. I contacted Breville and along with my pre-purchase emails of condition as ‘New’. Well, Breville bent over backwards issued me a ‘RMA” paid the shipping and upon inspection of the machine promptly returned to me a brand new espresso machine … no additional charges, no shipping, no hassles.

I wouldn’t recommend you try to buy refurbished in order to get ‘new’ but to me it speaks volumes to their attentiveness to customer service and satisfaction. Thanks Breville.

Now the best part. $$$’s. I was an average Starbucks/Caribou visitor maybe just on average 3x a week. I took a look at the budget and factoring in coffee purchases, extras (milk/cream etc) my Breville hit the break even point in just under 4 months of use and is now paying for itself … plus very convenient! Not to mention how impressed dinner guests are when you finish up a meal and offer them espresso with dessert! ‘If’ it ever wears out I will be back for another! Breville: 800ESXL The Breville 800ESXL Commercial Die Cast Designed Espresso Machine is incredibly beautiful, as well, as functional! It has a thermo block heating system, 15 bar Italian made pump, dual wall crema system, a pre-brew function and an auto-purge function (anti burn) just to name a few. This espresso machine will look gorgeous on your countertop in your kitchen. It’s a functional show piece. Breville 800ESXL Commercial 15-Bar Triple-Priming Die-Cast Espresso Machine
